Madonna of the Sacred Coat

"The soldiers therefore, when they had crucified him, took his garments…Now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout" (John 19:23-24).

One of the most beautiful depictions of Our Blessed Mother, this image powerfully conveys Mary’s role in the domestic life of our Lord and helps us all to grow in tenderness towards Our Lord Jesus Christ. In it she holds a seamless garment she makes for Christ, the same that is taken from him by the soldiers.

Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. 
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. 
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,  and do thou, 
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,  by the power of God, 
thrust into hell Satan,  and all the evil spirits, 
who prowl about the world 
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. .
